A huge event I was looking forward to during FanimeCon was the GAINAX panel. Gurren Lagann – considered by many to be the brainchild of their work – is a classic anime tale. The journey of a ragtag band of humans that started off as cave dwellers and then ended up battling evil with giant robots across the universe, is the kind of story that only a creative studio like GAINAX could pull off.
